A candy hunt for halloween is always a fun activity for the youngsters. It is relitivly in expesive and easy to find small Halloween treat bags or small plastic pumpkins, fill them with candy and money and hide them. One of the best places is the garden, which has to be well lit. Give each child a trick-or-treat bag to hunt for the hidden candy. You can make this activity more fun and enjoyable by setting a time limit and giving a prize to the kid who finds the most candies.

Mouse fishing is another great activity for the slightly older children. Find a pole with some string and create a fishing pole. Then attach a mouse and lay some mouse traps on the floor. Let the kids take turns trying to catch their mouse in the mouse traps. Make sure you are there to supervise the kids so that they do not get too close to the traps.
