It sounds strange but every time I start to scrapbook something goes wrong. There was nothing I could have done about it. For example, at least one of my tools was always missing. Or I was about to finish my session and then ruined the most important cut because I couldn’t lift it of the cutting map properly.

If you have similar experiences I want to share with you my three golden rules for scrapbooking fun. They helped me big time to get over my frustration and have a lot more fun.

Golden Rule 1: Keep Your Workplace Clean

The workplace was one of my main problems back then – I just never organized it in the right way. It was just a place where I used to store some of my tools, but there was no real intention involved.

That’s why I couldn’t find a lot of stuff and often the place was still messy from my last session.

My suggesion: Tread your workplace like a well organized office. Every tool and material should have its own place. Have a place where you want to store your tools. Clean up every time you leave your workplace.

Golden Rule 2: Tools Are Important

Have you ever ruined a project just because the quality of your tools wasn’t as high as you expected?. That’s just one example why good tools are mandatory. Probably the best of all Cricut tools is the Cricut cutting machine.

Golden Rule 3: Organize Your Thoughts

You can’t grab them, but at the end of the day you want them neatly organized. Why? Because we forget most of our best scrapbooking ideas when we don’t write them down immediately.

I recommend you to organize your thoughts, your tools and your workplace. This way nothing will come between you and a scrapbooking session full of fun and creativity!
